Half Marathon Training Schedule Noel
and Ken will be running the Half Marathon half marathon training group this
year. Runs will be informal with distances progressively increasing to help you
achieve the 13.1 mile goal that is the Bedford Harriers Half Marathon. Everyone
is welcome, from recent starters with the club to old hands. All runs will start at 9am at the stadium unless otherwise advised (please note this is earlier than originally posted). Look out for updates on the forum or on the notice board. 17-Oct 7 miles. Willington Track loop. Mike Barnett will be standing in. 24-Oct 7.5 miles. Brickhill Riverfield Dr, Norse Rd, Wentworth Dr, Avon Dr, Waveney Av, Brickhill Dr, PollHill Av. 31-Oct 8.5 miles. Abbeyfields and Kempston Eastcotts, Harrowden Rd, Meadowsweet Dr, Abbeyfields, Romsey Way through to Wilstead Rd, West End to big O down to Elstow Rd and Kempston, Left on Bunyan Road round and up past Sains, Bedford Road, Queen Br, River path / embankment back. 07-Nov 9 miles. Renhold Willington Track, left loop under bypass to Castle Mill wier, 428, Renhold, Salph End, Church Road. 14-Nov 10 miles. Wootton (advise if transport needed) Parking provisionally at Wooton Upper School (side road). Route to be advised, including the start and finish. (15-Nov - St Neots Half) 21-Nov 7 miles. Willington Track loop Race pace. No running back! 28-Nov 11-12 miles. Astwood & Cranfield (advise if transport needed) Parking provisionally at start of Cranfield Rd in Astwood.
